Dr. Julius Shulman

Julius Shulman, M.D.

Julius Shulman, M.D., founder of Eastside Eye Associates, has devoted his 45 years in ophthalmology to providing his patients with the highest level of eye care possible.

His practice is known as a problem solver, with the ability to call on the clinical acumen, diagnostic and surgical skills, and judgment of the many talented eye care specialists and subspecialists on his staff.

Dr. Shulman is board-certified by The American Academy of Ophthalmology.


Roshun Sangani, M.D.

Roshun Sangani, M.D.

Dr. Roshun Sangani received his Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, in Biology from Villanova University, Villanova PA in 2015 followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2019 from Drexel University Medical School, Philadelphia, PA. Postdoctoral training includes an internship in Internal Medicine at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA from 2019-2020, a residency in ophthalmology at Rutgers University in New Jersey from 2020-2023, followed by a one year fellowship in glaucoma at the Beth Israel Lahey Medical Center in Peabody, MA.

Dr. Sangani has trained extensively in all forms of glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, including  medical management using eye drops, laser surgery in less advanced glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) in moderate glaucoma and more advanced surgical procedures using stents and valves to lower intraocular pressure.


Allie Nadelson, M.D.

Allie Nadelson, M.D.

Allie Nadelson, M.D. is a medical retina specialist. She specializes in macular diseases, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, macular degeneration, and related disorders.

Dr. Nadelson is one of the first retina specialists in the New York City area to offer the next generation in retina and glaucoma diagnosis, OCT-A, an advanced form of OCT testing.

Dr. Nadelson is board-certified by The American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is fluent in English and Spanish.


I. Rang Rodgers, M.D.

Rand Rogers, M.D.

Rand Rodgers, M.D. is board-certified in Ophthalmology, trained at Mt. Sinai Hospital followed by a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at Harvard.

Dr. Rodgers provides our patients with diagnostic and treatment modalities, including comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgery around the eyes, as well as cosmetic blepharoplasty, surgery for eyelid and orbital tumors, and surgery for tearing disorders.
