Carrie Friedman, OD, a Board Certified Optometrist, graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Spanish and Community Health. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she was a member of the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Her clinical training was completed at The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Florida, one of the worlds most recognized eye hospitals. Further clinical training was completed at the Eye Institute at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and also in private practices. To round out her extensive training in eye care, Dr. Friedman completed her optometric residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, New York City.
Dr. Friedman provides comprehensive primary eye care, including the management of glaucoma, cataracts, corneal and retinal disorders and has a special interest in contact lenses and pre and postoperative care and management. She is fluent in medical and conversational Spanish.
Dr. Friedman is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry. In her spare time, Dr. Friedman enjoys being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
